Our apartment is on the third floor of a typical Ligurian house in the heart of Riomaggiore and overlooks the characteristic square of the church of San Giovanni Battista: from its windows you can enjoy a wonderful view on the sea and the village, which made us fall in love.
It is not necessary to be self-driving! The center of Riomaggiore (an entirely pedestrian area) is an ideal starting point for all your activities in Riomaggiore and in other places in the Parco delle Cinque Terre, on foot or using local trains and eco-friendly buses.
Our apartment, spacious and comfortable, can accommodate up to 4 people: there is the entrance, a bedroom with a double bed, a living room with a sofa bed for two people (all beds and mattresses are new), a large dining room with kitchen complete with dishwasher, electric oven and washing machine, covered terrace of 6 square meters and a bathroom with shower, bidet and hairdryer.
Scaglie di Mare is located in an ancient building, built in 1906; we renovated it in 2012 with care, maintaining some vintage finishes such as the frescoed ceiling in the living room and the floors in bedroom and living room. A careful maintenance is performed every 6 months.
We suggest you get involved in the magical atmosphere of the villages and do not miss the spectacular view that these places offer along the many scenic trails, but do not neglect the gastronomic aspect: the kitchen and the wines are in fact the ideal way to discover and appreciate the 5 Terre culture.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
Public pay parking at the entrance of the village. Due to the physical conformation of the territory, the car is contraindicated in the area of the 5 Terre and all parking spaces are subject to charges; the train is the ideal way to reach and visit Riomaggiore and the other villages.
The 5 Terre are a narrow strip of hilly territory overlooking the sea; this is the characteristic that makes the 5 villages (with their colorful houses clinging to the rock as if they were shells on the rocks) so characteristic, but unfortunately not suitable for those who have difficulty climbing stairs. The accommodation itself is located on the third floor of a building without a lift.
